April Egg-cellent Time to Discover #CWV

Spring weather has everybody hopping down the bunny trail in search of eggs and other goodies to fill their baskets. Here are just a few of the Easter-themed events going on this month in Hip, Historic…Almost Heaven Charleston, West Virginia:

Redeemer Lutheran Church welcomes kids of all ages to Easter Eggsploration! Friday, April 5. From 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. enjoy egg-related games, snacks, crafts and more. Tickets are free. Redeemer Lutheran Church is located at 1 Deerwalk Lane, just past Wells Furniture, off Corridor G.

Celebrate Spring at Bunny Eggstravaganza, a special library event Saturday, April 6. Take pictures with the White Rabbit, enjoy refreshments, and participate in bunny and egg-related activities and crafts. This free event takes place at Kanawha County Public Library’s Main Branch, 123 Capitol Street, starting at 11 a.m.

Come see the Easter Bunny and hunt 17,000 eggs Saturday, April 13 at the Magic Island Easter Egg Hunt. Kids ages 10 and under are welcome from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Kids of any age with Sensory Sensitivities can arrive an hour earlier for special activities. Video game truck, magician with balloon animals. inflatables, face paint, games and more are on the agenda!

Hop on down to the Clay Center for some Egg-citing Easter fun! Meet the Easter Bunny, go on an egg hunt, participate in an egg drop challenge and more! All activities are included in the cost of admission: $9 for adults and $7.50 for kids. Eggstravaganza takes place from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, April 20.

South Charleston hosts an Easter Egg Hunt Saturday, April 20 at Joplin Park. Bring your own basket and join in the hunt for 5,000 hidden eggs containing prizes and candy. This event is open to children ages 6 and under and takes place from 1 – 2 p.m. Joplin Park is located along Kanawha Turnpike in South Charleston.

Come hungry to Holiday Inn & Suites Charleston West’s Easter Brunch, Sunday, April 21. Five dollars from each ticket sold goes to Give Kids the World, a nonprofit organization for children with critical illnesses. The menu is an extensive one, offering everything from local-favorite biscuits and gravy to live-action omelet and ham-carving stations. Three seating times are available: 11:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. Cost for adults is $39.95 and $17.95 for kids age 11 and under. Reservations: Call Eva at 304-744-4641.
