Light Up Charleston

13Nov 2015

In an effort to enhance the holiday shopping experience, the Charleston Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB), Charleston Area Alliance, Charleston Main Streets and the Kanawha City Community Association, are asking businesses and organizations to decorate their locations with holiday lights starting Nov. 26 through Jan. 2, 2016.

“Light Up Charleston” will help kick off the holiday shopping season and kick off the monthly Downtown Artwalk on Nov. 27 and brighten the day for Small Business Saturday on Nov. 28.
"Holiday lights are a big draw for visitors and residents alike,” said Alisa Bailey, CVB president. "LED lights allow us to make Charleston shine just as many of us remember it only in an energy-efficient fashion.”

The CVB will be selling LED lights to community partners for $15 per 17-foot strand. To order lights, visit
