East End

The East End is home to the West Virginia state Capitol, Appalachian Power Park, the Clay Center for the Arts and Sciences and the Capitol Market.

One the area's signature events includes the East End Garden Showcase, a free self-guided tour of more than 25 gardens during the month of June.  East End homeowners, apartment dwellers and businesses have cultivated beautiful green spaces in the heart of the largest city in the state.

Another popular event, the East End Yard Sale attracts more than 200 sellers and thousands of visitors who come for bargains, shopping, dining and sightseeing.

The East End also is home to the East End Bazaar, a dog park and a selection of locally owned eateries.
