The Clay Center for Arts & Sciences is one of Charleston's crown jewels.
It inspires creativity, learning and wonder.
The Clay Center offers a wide range of entertainment, educational and artistic experiences. And it’s all under one roof!
The Avampato Discovery Museum at the Clay Center is a place for kids to learn through creativity. It features a Science Center that invites families to learn and have fun at the same time with hands-on science exhibits. And now, it's even bigger and better – with Ashton's Climbing Sculpture and My Town!
The Avampato also includes the Juliet Museum of Art, which houses a permanent collection and a carrousel of exhibits and soon will be more interactive, giving visitors the opportunity to be a part of the art and craft their own works.
The Maier Performance Hall hosts a variety of musical and performing arts shows. Those include nationally known acts, Broadway musicals, the West Virginia Symphony Orchestra and regional artists. This fall, the Clay Center hosts Bob Dylan, Ben Folds, Brandi Carlile and ZZ Top, among many.
Meanwhile, the Digital Dome features enhanced planetarium experiences through state-of-the-art graphics. Tour the galaxy!
The Clay Center houses a plethora of experiences, and we have even more on the horizon.
