Does Ham, Jam, or Spam Inspire You?

29Apr 2016

Ever wonder how Monty Python’s Spamalot got its name? If you’ve seen the motion picture Monty Python and the Holy Grail, you may know. If not, you’ve probably heard the song that inspired this hilarious spoof.  The silly song sings like this, "We eat ham, and jam, and
Spam a lot." … and voila, the inspiration for the musical’s title for the original production in 2005.

Starting May 6, you will be able to experience the hilarity at the Civic Center Little Theater. This musical comedy lovingly rips off the 1975 Monty Python and the Holy Grail, and spoofs everything there is to love, or hate, about musical theatre.
Flying cows, killer rabbits, taunting Frenchmen, show-stopping musical numbers and more!

Get your tickets for the Charleston Light Opera Guild’s production of Monty Python’s Spamalot for May 6-7, 13-14, 20-21 at 7:30 pm and May 15 at 2:00 pm.
